Premium Taste
Krisda stevia is an all-natural, herbal sweetener, completely sugar free. Krisda offers a healthy alternative to sugar-laden treats and giving customers healthy options while still enjoying a sweet life. You may recognize Stevia by its slightly bitter aftertaste. This bitterness is a sign of a quality stevia product. The best things are an acquired taste. Think about products that have won you over. Dark chocolate, coffee… even good wine can take time to develop a palate for. However once you do, you couldn't imagine life without it. Similarly, the mark of a great stevia product is its unique taste.
If you can't taste the stevia then you have encountered what is now known as "Fool's Stevia".
After a few weeks using stevia, your tastes will change. If you return to sugar, you may find it too sticky, syrupy and sweet. In North America we have been conditioned to associate sweet with the taste delivered by refined table sugar. This is simply because it is so prevalent in our modern diets. However, there are many different types of tastes associated with sweet beyond your simple table sugar. We're offering you another option.

No Artificial Sweeteners, Colors or Preservatives
Brands such as Splenda, Sweet N Low, Equal and numerous store branded sugar-free sweeteners are made with controversial artificial sweeteners.
A quick Internet search will return plenty of information about the health concerns associated with chemicals such as aspartame and sucralose.
Enough evidence exists to raise significant concern about the short and long-term health risks of these chemicals. As such, Krisda offers consumers a sugar-free natural alternative to artificial sweeteners.
Chemicals such as artificial colors in no way enhance the experience or healthy attributes of Krisda. Similarly, no preservatives are required, as Krisda is a dried product, packed in airtight packaging.

Sugar Free
Our modern diet consists of far too much sugar, which is linked to obesity, diabetes, tooth decay and overall poor health.
You need only to look at the content of baskets rolling out of most grocery stores today to see how prevalent processed sugar is in our society.
The end result is ultimately a lowered quality of life, which is easily avoided through natural alternatives.

Inulin
Inulin is a fiber that promotes digestive health, and a missing ingredient in a lot of North American diets.
Stevia extract is three hundred times sweeter than table sugar. Therefore, Inulin serves two important roles in Krisda:
- Inulin dilutes the sweetness of stevia down to a level closer to table sugar
- Inulin also helps reduce the bitterness of the natural stevia product in a natural and healthy way

Erythritol
Erythritol is a natural ingredient found in many fruits and nuts.
Very little natural erythritol is used in Krisda because the primary sweetener is stevia. However, a small amount of erythritol enhances the taste of Krisda, and adds a slight cooling sensation similar to sugar and aids in blocking some of the bitterness of stevia.
We caution consumers away from stevia products that use only erythritol and stevia. Erythritol on its own has a taste similar to icing sugar, which is not ideal for sweetening most foods and beverages. Lastly, too much erythritol can act as a laxative. You will note Krisda products use a combination of such natural ingredients as inulin, maltodextrin and stevia along with erythritol.

Fool's Stevia
There are a number of sweeteners on the market that claim to be stevia sweeteners when in actual fact they contain little to no stevia... and/or sugar. These sweeteners are known as "Fool's Stevia". What gives it away?
- Products that claim to not have a bitter aftertaste: As we've discussed, a slightly bitter aftertaste is a natural part of the stevia plant. In actual fact, if a company claims their sweetener contains stevia yet doesn't have the aftertaste, the truth is that there is little, if any stevia in that product
- You can discern the lack of stevia because of the odd taste of the product which will taste like icing sugar and the low price point, as stevia is a higher quality sweetener and therefore more expensive
- A common trend with established sweetener businesses is to add a small amount of stevia to their current product, which is already laden with traditional sugar or an artificial sweetener. These companies can then tout their product as a "stevia product" when in reality, these items are no better for you
